Hi there!
I decided to put this up as more of our ribbons have been making their way into our wedding stationery. Hope this addresses some of the common questions we’ve received about our ribbons and helps to prolong their shelf life if you’ve received / intend to get some stationery with ribbons from us.

Are your ribbons made of silk?
Not all of them are. We source our ribbon colours across a whole range of fabrics, so they are not limited to silk. Regardless of their make, they are all delicate in nature and so, our ribbon care tips apply across the board.
Are your ribbons hand-dyed?
They are not, and for this reason, they are unlikely to colour shift in the wash or fade under light.
There’s a loose thread that frayed from the ribbon edge. What should I do?
The occasional loose thread that frays from our ribbons’ raw edges is the nature of such ribbons. We hope you’ll come to embrace it!
You can either 1) untie the ribbon and gently tug on the loose thread until it comes off the entire length of the ribbon at the end or 2) simply cut it off.
The latter is definitely easier esp. if the ribbons have been tied. We would gently tug on the loose thread to a point where it cannot come off anymore (e.g when it reaches the ribbon knot) and then cut it.
Our ribbons came with a crease/fold marks in the mail. What can we do to straighten them out?
Inevitably, ribbon ends might have a crease/fold mark when you receive it as a result of the ribbons being longer than the book and having to fold it in for packing and mailing. It can be easily straightened with an iron on low heat setting.
It’s not necessary to untie the ribbons to iron out the ends. Just be careful to ensure that the iron does not come into contact with the paper.
Other care tips:
If you absolutely need to wash your ribbons, gently swish / dip your ribbons (by hand!) in a small wash bowl with a mild fabric detergent. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine due to the delicate nature of the fabric and raw edges.
When dry, iron using low heat setting.
